The old website sold laptop repair like a product on a shelf, fixed prices, “add to enquiry” cards, and URLs no one could read. We rebuilt it around how a repair business really earns trust: expertise, process, and being easy to find.

One flat “Repairing” product list became eight dedicated service pages, each with its own clean URL, its own content and its own reason to rank.

The client had a website, but it was working against them. It had been built on a locked retail template, the same kind sold to thousands of other businesses, and it forced a computer repair shop to behave like an online store. A repair job is diagnosed, not bought off a shelf, yet the site listed services as products with fixed prices and “enquire” buttons, which is not how the business, or its customers, actually operate.
01
A retail store template forced onto a service business, services shown as priced products (“Laptop Servicing – INR 750”)
02
Prices published before any diagnosis, which is not how repair pricing works
03
Unreadable URL structure — repair pages buried under generic /all-repairing/ product paths
04
A single flat “Repairing” list instead of proper pages for each service the shop offers
05
Thin content, no structured data, nothing to help the site rank for local repair searches
06
The whole thing was a rented, templated layout the client couldn’t meaningfully change or own

01
Reposition From Store to Service
The first decision was strategic, not technical: stop selling repairs like products. We rebuilt the site around trust signals a repair customer actually looks for — years in business, volume of repairs handled, turnaround time, and a clear step-by-step repair process — instead of a price tag and a buy button.
02
Move to an Owned WordPress Build
We moved the site onto self-hosted WordPress, so the client owns and controls it outright rather than renting a locked template. Every page and piece of content is now theirs to edit, extend and keep.
03
Rebuild the URL and Page Structure
Each service now has its own clean, readable page and URL — /services/laptop-repair/, /services/data-recovery/, /services/printer-repair/ and more — replacing the generic product paths. Eight distinct service pages now do the work one flat list used to.
04
Build In Local SEO From the Start
The new site ships with a keyword-targeted title and description around “Chip-Level Laptop Repair”, a proper H1, and full structured data (LocalBusiness, Organization, Article schema) — the technical foundation the old template never had, so the site is built to be found, not just to exist.

A complete WordPress rebuild the client owns and can edit — no rented template
8 dedicated service pages — laptop repair, desktop repair, data recovery, printer repair, networking, hardware upgrade, software install and virus removal — each with clean, readable URLs
Repositioned messaging: a “Quick. Clear. Hassle-Free.” repair-process section, trust stats (repairs completed, years of experience, success rate, turnaround) and an experts section, replacing the storefront layout
Full structured data — LocalBusiness/Place, Organization, WebSite and Article schema — plus keyword-targeted metadata for local repair searches
A mobile-responsive, modern design with a proper gallery, blog and multi-brand support section
Direct call and WhatsApp contact paths built into the layout, suited to how repair enquiries actually come in
A template that treats every business the same will make a repair shop look like a store, a clinic look like a catalogue, and none of them look like themselves. The rebuild's real value wasn't prettier design, it was a site that finally matched how the business actually works, on a platform the client owns.
Publishing a fixed price before you’ve even seen the laptop sets the wrong expectation on both sides. Moving from “product with a price” to “service with a process” changed what the website was actually asking the customer to do.
